New request: if you’re a paid subscriber to this newsletter please don’t create a membership on the new site yet as that could create sone billing complications (if you already did, we’ll figure it out). But please feel free to try out commenting system as that’s separate
I'm pretty sure I have a monthly, not annual subscription, but Substack won't let me load the account management page. Should I just hold on until migration? I don't want to miss any podcast episodes.
You don't need to do anything on Substack. If you just use this email to sign up on the ghost site, you should be fine. if you have any questions, hmu at sounderatheart@pnwsoccermedia.com.
I assume you mean the RSS feed that comes from SounderatHeart.com? That's one of the things we're currently working on, but my expectation is we'll get that figured out.
Just to confirm, when annual substack subscriptions migrate to the new site, will I have a 3.0 account linked to that email? If I create an account now with that email address will that screw something up with the migration?
That's actually a good question that we've not beta-tested. If you want to create a new account there, we can follow up by manually adding you and see what happens? My suspicion is that it would only complicate things if you already paid for a membership here and then paid for a new membership there, too.
So it looks like I can manually add a subscription tier to you on the new site since you signed up for a free account, but it seems to be a bit more complicated to upgrade someone's already-paid membership to a higher tier. I've not yet tried to import all the data from here to there, however, so I'm not sure how that would impact this process (I suspect I'll need to make some manual adjustments).
Great news. The SB Nation sites have degenerated into a glitchy, unreadable pile of ads. Ad-supported seems to be in a death spiral, subscription seems like the only sustainable future.

Hell yeah!!
RSS will still work if I'm subscribed?

Mazel tov! This is so exciting!
Congratulations!
So excited. It’s been hard getting all the needed info after apple took over. Local was always best info
Excited for you guys!! Great news!

Ok, done.

The only way to create a 3.0 account is to pick a subscription tier, which makes sense, but might leave current NA subs scratching their heads.
Oh that’s a good point… we’ll suggest not joking yet
Amazing news! I’m excited to see where the new voyage takes us.

Congrats!
