Shuffling starting lineups for Brian seems to be mainly reactive -- injuries, call-ups, and if the previous game/s went at least ok. He seems passive in his approach ... stick to what he had unless he simply can’t.
Similarly in his game substitutions, which when they happen seem slow/late and almost random.
I would have expected some significant change in subs with the new rule allowing 5 per game, but I see more of the same. You’d think that at the 60th minute he’d have some pre-set ideas of at least two ... a) we’re down and need to boost offense, or b) we’re up and need to boost defense. Then use those 5 appropriately. Short of 80th minute Hail Mary like changes, I don’t see it happening with SFC. Wondering if that’s true across the league. Is there any coach that has changed approach to subs now that they have more?
