With all the roster and budgetary constraints, what’s the likelihood we even see a transfer this window? At this point is it most likely an inter-league trade or do you think we’re still looking for somebody to provide a spark from outside of the league?
What is Schmetzer's current contract situation? The best/newest info I saw was the SaH article saying he "re-signed a new contract through at least 2023."
How do we match up against Monterrey in the Profit Cup? I'm assuming that we can field something like our best 11 (as we did in Dallas) and that they'll remember how to play together.
Since we are already guaranteed a spot in the next, 2025 Club World Cup, is getting into the champion's league a positive since it will continue to congest a very congested schedule?
You don't need to look that hard to find what "objective" observers think and see that it's not that the Sounders "aren't very good." ESPN has them 7th in the power rankings and MLS has them 9th. That's top third of the league. There's also a host of advanced metrics that were cited in this story that are about as objective as you get that counter that claim. You can certainly argue that offensively they aren't very good, but the analysis you're talking about is more pessimism than realism.

I think it’s more likely than not that sounders don’t get anyone from outside organization, but I wouldn’t rule out a move.

Currently rank the 5 best players on the Sounders for the rest of 2023?

Their goal-scoring is definitely a significant concern that will have to improve if they are to win anything. No question about that.
They definitely looked bad
